Cards from Goddess on the Go affirmation deck

by Amy Sophia Marashinsky with art by Melissa Harris

January 17, 2022: No matter our gender identity, we can all use a little Goddess energy at times, and Melissa Harris's attractive art for Amy Sophia Marashinsky's Goddess on the Go deck comes to our aid with 33 supportive affirmations.

Shuffle this tiny deck, draw a card at random for your day--or for the issue that's bedeviling you--and spend some time in meditation and writing about the ascribed affirmation. Here are a few more:

I am serving the highest good for all.

I am confident and centered.

I am in love with the adventure of life.

You can even start with a regular draw of one Tarot card or a full Tarot layout and follow that by drawing a Goddess card that will suggest a positive path towards facing, embracing, and resolving anything that has turned up in your Tarot operation.

Marashinsky's cards are Lenormand-small. The deck is portable and easy to pull out and consult for a quick emotional/psychological/spiritual pick-me-up. Take a look at the three I've drawn for you today, and choose one you'd like to take to heart.

Goddess on the Go is only one of a number of decks that can provide easy, comforting entry into card divination, especially for daily consultation by beginners. They can also enhance your current Tarot practice--like having a BFF who looks over your shoulder at your Tarot layout and says:

"Hey, it will be be fine, 'cause you're awesome. You've got this!"

CARD OF THE DAY: January 6, 2022

Arianrhod

from Goddesses Knowledge Cards

by Michael Babcock with art by Susan Seddon Boulet

January 6, 2022: With mystical artwork by the late Susan Seddon Boulet, Goddesses Knowledge Cards is one of the most beautiful, most soul-stirring oracle decks in our field. It is not a Tarot deck. Its cards interpret Goddess lore across the world's cultures--Lilith, Fortuna, Kuan Yin, Persephone, White Shell Woman, The Sphinx, and many more, 48 in total. These compact cards are smaller than standard Tarot or playing cards, larger than Lenormands, and almost--but not exactly--square. Respectfully shuffling them hand to hand--not riffling them, which I dislike in any case--is a breeze.

Today's card represents a triple moon goddess out of Welsh tradition--Arianrhod. Writer Michael Babcock identifies Her as the "high fruitful mother who turns the wheel of the heavens" and notes that She "watches over souls in a purgatory filled with beings awaiting rebirth."

The image inspires me to ask of it (and, thus, of you), "Who is ready? Who emerges now? Who steps out of the shadows into the world?"

All of this is still a mystery for you, perhaps, but you can take a moment today to set aside your everyday busy-ness and ask the Goddess.

CARD OF THE DAY: November 16, 2021

Here we go, again!

November 16, 2021: You're not going to believe this but, when I shuffled the cards, the Triple Goddess' Flame of Surrender returned today!

I love it when cards underscore their message by showing up again in a separate random draw. Spirit says, "Are you listening? Make sure you listen this time!"

So, for today, I'm just going to direct you back (or, for some of you, for the first time) to yesterday's message. Maybe some fresh insights will emerge for you or earlier ones will clarify.

Enjoy this second visit with Flame of Surrender!

CARD OF THE DAY: November 15, 2021

Flame of Surrender

Triple Goddess Tarot

by Isha Lerner and illustrator Mara Friedman

November 15, 2021: I want to stay with Isha Lerner and Mara Friedman's deck through this week. So, expect more beauty on the way. It's a truly gorgeous--if structurally and visually iconoclastic--Tarot deck.

Take in the tender, warm energy of Flame of Surrender and the glowing autumn leaves drifting and swirling around this goddess of transition from the overt glories of the warm months to the inward-leaning, inward-tending time of the cooler and cold months. This deity knows that, as you prepare to face the rigors of winter, you will need the sweet warmth of knowing you are loved and cared for, that your sincere, human efforts are valued, met with acceptance and grace, and amplified.

Happy Beltane!

Bright blessings

for a delightful Beltane!
