December 19-23, 2022: I thought the word "tender" before drawing this sweet image from Oak, Ash & Thorn Tarot. For this transitional time in which we will pass Winter Solstice 2022, let us think on the idea of tender regard and care for ourselves, our loved ones, our communities, our world.

The World card represents the reaching of a long-desired goal, the culmination of a process, the drawing together of every disparate and essential element that makes a self or situation. Can we imagine how this might be done with utmost gentleness, especially gentleness towards oneself?

We're also wrapping up the year, speeding towards the end of 2022, the latest of few years of disruptions, life-changing challenges, loss, violence of unimaginable proportions. How can we resolve to seed tenderness into 2023, water it, and watch it grow?

As this week unfolds, this is our meditation.
