The Magician
Light Seer's Tarot

My thanks to friend and Tarot colleague Diane Brandt Wilkes for contributing Chris-Anne's imagining of The Magician from Light-Seer's Tarot, a deck that's new to me!
The infinity symbol inscribed on the hoodie identifies this figure, seated cross-legged before a pool of swirling galactic light, as Tarot's Magician. Look at the way the energy streams pour from and then back into the mage's hands. Look higher again to those bare shoulders, upper arms, forearms, wrists, palms, and fingers. What do you see? Again, the suggestion of an infinity symbol, this time resting vertically on one end, formed by a strong, unbroken current of energy.
A marvelous image, it depicts energy coursing through the physical body, making world and cosmic magick beyond the body, and returning to the body. The Magician's all-important intent is clearly there, all in the focus of eyes towards the center of the colorful cosmic whirlpool of creative energy. Focus is everything.
For me, this Magician's appeal lies in a certain simplicity and humility. There's nothing grandiose about this mage, just confidence, skill, and dedication.
