February 15, 2022: A visit to the Met's Cloisters this past Friday brought me face to face with this kneeling knight--or king--and I thought about this one:

Some days, you don't need official cards from any deck. You just need your open mind. The images simply come to you and speak their truths.
The Spanish knight/king kneels in honor of someone we cannot see.
Colin Kaepernick kneels in honor of values we should see reflected more often in our society.
That's it for today. A day to think about what you value most strongly, what you would sacrifice to uphold. A day to think about principle, about selfless courage despite the ultimate consequence.
